Circular construction in Europe is generating significant research activity — through Horizon Europe and Interreg-funded projects, through university labs, and through PhD work that rarely makes it beyond academic journals. Projects like OPALIS, RECONSTRUCT, DRASTIC, CIRC-BOOST, and CHOOSE2REUSE are running right now across multiple European countries, developing circular materials, digital tools, and deconstruction methodologies. Much of this work is directly applicable to practice — and largely invisible to the professionals who need it most.
This thread is a space to change that. If you are a researcher working on circular construction, bio-based materials, embodied carbon, design for disassembly, material passports, urban mining, or anything adjacent — share what you are doing. Not the abstract. The problem you are trying to solve, the question you are sitting with, and what you are finding.
What are you working on — and what would be most useful to hear from practitioners in return?
